Kuching: Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd has obtained a contract extension worth RM85mil for the time charter of its workboat, Dayang Zamrud, for well Reservoir Management to Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd.
The new contract is from March 1 to Oct 31, 2016.
“The contract extension is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Dayang group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2012 and subsequent financial periods within the duration of the extension,” Dayang said Monday.
Dayang group has other contracts worth more than RM1.5bil that could last until 2016. This includes a RM802mil contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd secured early last year to provide topside structural maintenance services in Sarawak, Sabah and the peninsula.
Meanwhile, managing director Tengku Datuk Yusof Tengku Ahmad Shahruddin has disposed of another 4.2mil Dayang shares at prices of RM1.85 and RM1.90 last week, according to filing with Bursa Malaysia. He sold 1.5mil Dayang shares last month.
Also disposing Dayang shares in the past two weeks were deputy chairman Ling Suk Kiong, who sold 4mil shares, and deputy managing director Joe Ling Siew Loung, who sold 150,000 shares.
Dayang share lost 4sen and closed at RM1.94 Monday.
